This full-time position is located in our office at Franklin Square, NY. Our office is opened from Monday through Friday. Must be available to work Saturdays on a rotational schedule. SummaryLooking for a highly motivated, team oriented Commercial broker who will assist in the servicing of all commercial lines accounts and quoteissue new business.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMust consistently follow set procedures and successfully complete assignments in a timely manner.  The employee is directly responsible for independently maintaining hisher workload, which includes the following:Prepares, processes, reviews and monitors various documents such as proposals, applications, premiums, coverage of risk, policies, renewals, audits, claims, endorsements, audits, cancellations, non-renewals, binders, contracts, etc.Prepares and presents proposals, and recommends coverages based on client's needsCreates and maintains detailed task notes through agency management platform.Contacts active and prospective clients to sell and explain coverage, gaps or low coverage, account rounding and solicitation of new business.Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and performs daily functions with accuracy and efficiency to prevent agency errors & omissions.Prepares and calculates premiums, invoicing, commissions and other accounting related functions through agency management system.Attends sales seminars, sales meetings or educational activities to stay up-to-date on the latest developments, trends, regulations in the marketplace.ExpectationsIn order to perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. However, we encourage and provide training and licensing support.No prior insurance experience required.
