The Maintenance Mechanic performs reactive and preventive maintenance of electronic and mechanical systems.  The mechanics role is to repair, modify, maintain, and test a wide variety of complex CNC machine tools, process equipment, and special test equipment. This includes precision service to CNC controlled lathes, mills, machining centers, grinders, lasers, saws, presses, and inspection equipment. Process equipment includes Mitsui Seki, Takisawa and Bostomatic 5 axis multi spindle mills, Ikigai turning lathes, Studer grinders and various other machining systems.  The salary range for this position is ($48,600 - $72700). The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. Key Responsibilities Perform system and component level inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of electronic and mechanical problems to equipment listed above and provide detailed corrective actions and cost estimates. Components include pumps, motors, ball screws, spindles, hydraulic systems, trunions, gear drives, machine ways, lubrication systems, and unified machine articulation. Perform immediate repair services on equipment breakdowns to minimize work stoppages and return it to the desired functional and safe operation. Corrective actions may include axis alignment, mechanical calibration, vibration reduction, and machine accuracy. Perform complex preventative maintenance services per department work instructions, PM job plans, and established schedules. Interpret complex electrical and mechanical diagrams, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, OEM assembly drawings, and mechanical, P&ID diagrams. Determine type, size, and amount of equipment parts and materials required to complete installations and repairs. Able to carry parts, materials, tools, and equipment per established safety guidelines, climb ladders, and work in awkward positions, as part of daily activities. Interface with machine tool suppliers and OEMs for technical data, spare parts availability, and out-sourced maintenance and repairs. Direct outside contractors in the execution of the scope of the job per department work instructions and HS&E procedures. Support HSE&F during all site emergencies.  Comply with all HSE&F policies and procedures in the execution of duties, including lock-out/tag-out, live electrical work, confined space entry, hot work, forklift license, hoist certification, etc. U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status. YOU MUST HAVE High School Diploma/GED 5 years of electronic and mechanical maintenance experience WE VALUE Use of mechanical technician tools, such as dial indicators, height gauges, micrometers, jigs, dies, fixtures, and laser alignment tool, necessary to diagnose and repair equipment. Knowledge of industrial equipment operations, manipulation of CNC controller. Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as using computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
