Job Description:

Position:Hamadeh Educational Services is seeking a School Social Worker to join our team! You will work with our students in providing top of the line care using the Michigan Standards at the elementary and secondary level in a charter public school.Academy Mission:The Academies mission is to provide their students with a quality education that focuses on a core curriculum and international cultures including the study of language. The academies provide an education of the whole child by integrating different diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds to their college-preparatory program serving families in the Greater Detroit area. Responsibilities: Provide direct andor indirect Social Work ServicesCollaborate with the principal, teachers, and other school personnelPlan, organize, recommend school programs to help students improve their academic achievementCollaborate with the IEP committees in determining the eligibility of the emotionally impaired programs and servicesAssists in the supervision of student discipline and oversee the implementation of the classroom and school discipline policiesPlan, organize, recommend, and schedule appropriate direct in-service training programs Performs other duties as may be assignedRequirements:Must have Master's Degree in Social Work or Equivalent EducationMust have a Master's Level Social Work license OR Limited Master's Level Social Work License.Must have SSW 310 or have full or temporary school social work approval from Michigan Department of EducationExperience in providing direct andor indirect social work servicesMust possess excellent organization, planning, professionalism, and time management skillsSocial Work experience must be in an educational settingMust be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office softwareMust possess excellent verbal and written and interpersonal communication skillsMust possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsExperience working in culturally diverse setting.Ability to work independently and within a team environmentFlexible open minded, self driven team memberMust be authorized to work in the US Hamadeh Educational Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
