Senior Director of Food Safety & Quality AssuranceFood ManufacturingLocation: ChicagoSalary: Up to $225,000 + PackageIt's safe to say that most food manufacturers will tell you that they value Food Safety & Quality - but how many actually do?Here you'll be joining a business that actually does. You'll have a voice. You'll have backing. You'll be driving real change.You will be coming in to set and drive the FSQA strategy throughout the whole organization (multiple manufacturing facilities.) Working very closely with the rest of the Senior Leadership and Exec teams to bounce ideas off each other and help drive an improved Food Safety & Quality culture.Ready to embark on an ambitious growth journey, the company are looking to improve FSQA standards, which is where you'll come in. By no means at all are you starting from scratch. Systems, processes etc are all in place, but improvements need to be made and then consistency needs to be driven across all manufacturing sites.You will inherit a team that is full of ambition and wants to learn and grow but is just lacking true leadership. You will need to come in to be the reassuring figure, and the calm in the storm. Not someone that is just going to rule with an iron fist but can listen and help the team and their needs. Building a sense of confidence and trust withing the function and wider organization. I'm by no means implying that it's 247 chaos - but it's the food industry after all!It is going to be a challenge, but undoubtedly, it'll be one that you can look back on and see the impact that you've made. You'll also be a part of an inspiring growth story.You will need to have a proving track record of making significant improvements within a food manufacturing business. Ideally in a USDA facility.
