PurposeQuilt & Co. Tasting Room is looking to hire an enthusiastic, inviting, and outgoing personality for our open position as a Wine Educator. This position is responsible for providing the best possible experience to all of our Tasting Room guests by developing relationships that promote sales and brand loyalty. This position is the champion of customer service in creating the perfect balance of education and good times.Key relationshipsInternal: Tasting Room AssociatesExternal: Customers, VendorsKey responsibilities and accountabilitiesHosting guests at the Quilt & Co. Tasting Room in Downtown NapaHelp with setup, breakdown, and cleaning of the room and outdoor tasting areasAble to serve alcohol and be able to learn the unique winemaking practices of Joseph WagnerResponsible for helping customers choose tastings, purchase wine, and sell wine club membershipsMaintain table settings by removing glasses, and plates, being alert to customer spills or other special needs, as well as resetting tables for the next partyAdhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policiesHandle routine sales transactions which include operating cash register and accounting of daily salesRestocking of wine and merchandise, maintaining the aesthetics of the Tasting Room and LoungeDeal with complaints or issues with a positive attitudeProvide general tourist informationPerform other duties as assignedTIPS Certification, RBS certified, Food Handler card neededExperience with Commerce7, Tock and WinedirectOther duties as assignedCore CompetenciesCoordinate multiple tasks simultaneouslyExcellent people skills with a friendly attitudeTraits· Enthusiastic, inviting, and outgoing personality· Attention to cleanliness and safetyRequirements· High School Diploma· Must be able to lift 40lbs· Must be able to stand for long periods of time, and work on a computer for extended periods· Must be able to work both inside and outside in varied weather conditions· Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed· Must have a valid driver's license· Must be at least 21 years of age
