POSITION SUMMARYThe Managing Director (MD) leads the strategy, fundraising, community engagement, programmatic, and administrative success at our St. Louis campus. Reporting to the Regional Senior Vice President, Midwest, the MD will lead a talented team to execute and advance our mission. Top candidates will bring a proven record of successfully attracting and cultivating corporate, private, and public funders and partners. RESPONSIBILITIESFundraising & Business DevelopmentDevelop and lead PS St. Louis's fundraising strategy in partnership with the Regional SVP and with support from the National Development teamIdentify and cultivate new relationships with a diverse range of funders and other revenue sources (e.g., foundation, corporate, public, individual, and earned income)Partner with the National Development team to generate grant requests and reportsPartner with the Enterprise Solutions team to generate business development and customized training opportunitiesPartner with the local advisory board of business and community leadersRepresent Per Scholas at regional meetings, conferences, panels, and media opportunitiesTeam LeadershipServe as PS St. Louis's point of contact for the Training, Fiscal, Communications, Development, Administration, Enterprise Solutions teamsLead a talented team of local staff, facilitating regular feedback, performance management, and professional developmentFollow local and national workforce, business, and tech industry trends to anticipate learner and employer needsEnsure that all training goals are met or exceeded, tracking and reporting them in Salesforce and other data platformsManage and inform the annual operating budgetProgram LeadershipDevelop, lead, and implement the annual operating plan in partnership with the National Training Team and Regional SVPIncrease awareness of Per Scholas' brand and training in the St. Louis workforce ecosystemCultivate a pipeline of employer partners in the St. Louis metro areaEnsure high-quality delivery of our technology training to Per Scholas learners and alumniImplement new training initiatives in response to local market demandREQUIREMENTS5+ years of experience managing high-performing teamsDemonstrated success identifying and cultivating new corporate and foundation funders and partners Familiarity with workforce development concepts and the corporate, municipal, and philanthropic landscape in greater St. LouisInclusive philosophy with experience working with ethnically and socioeconomically diverse communitiesDemonstrated understanding of what it takes to build a supportive, collegial work cultureExceptional interpersonal skills; ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levelsSuperior relational, presentation, and writing skillsExperience in workforce development and business development a plusFunctional knowledge of Salesforce and data management a plusPERSONAL CHARACTERISTICSYou thrive in a creative, innovative, fast-paced environment with people who are passionate about their work and missionYou are open to and accepting of feedback, coaching, and growthYou are a data-driven, results-oriented and forward-looking catalyst for social changeYou have a collaborative and flexible work style; you're excited to work both cross-functionally with other departments and independentlyYou are tech-savvy and learn quicklyYou are detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skillsYou stand behind our purpose, believing that individuals from any community should have access to well-paying careers, and that talent should be recognized and recruited from many diverse sourcesFor this role specifically, we are targeting a salary of $100,000-$110,000, where the difference in salary is typically determined by several factors, including alignment with qualifications and level of experience.QUESTIONS?If you have any questions about this role, please feel free to email our Talent team at .
