Position OverviewWe are a growing, NY based boutique independent insurance brokerage seeking an energetic, growth focused AE to join our private client insurance team. Wesfair specializes in writing personal insurance policies for clients with a particular focus in high net-worth and business owners and executives that also have their commercial insurance with us. The AE is responsible for strengthening our private client relationship by providing them with high-quality professional and speedy service. Common daily interactions will include clients, insurance carriers, and fellow employees. Leadership views this position as an integral role in the organization as it offers opportunity to grow in various areas of our business as we continue to grow.Primary ResponsibilitiesResponsible for servicing a pre-determined list of private clients. Common tasks will include updating and marketing policies, coordinating payments, answering client questions, and originating key documentation.Answer customer calls and correspondence regarding new or existing insurance policies and service claims.Work with new clients or support a producer to understand their needs, gather necessary data, research policy options, present options, finalize and bind new coverage, cancel old policies, and negotiate with carriers.Set appointments andor client calls or support a producer to review existing policies, review liability limits and exposures, explore coverage needs, evaluate replacement costs, round out accounts, and bind renewals.Confer with customers to provide detailed information about products and services, quote new business, process renewals andor cancel accounts, take payments, and provide requested documentation.Resolve product or service issues by clarifying the customer's concern, determining the cause of the issue, selecting, and explaining the best solution to solve the issue, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution.Maintain records of private client interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, comments, and actions taken in agency management system.Review audits of policies; verify accuracy and facilitate corrections, as needed, between client and carrier.Actively solicit increases in coverage or rounding out accounts during service contacts.Opportunity to assist in the developmentbuild out of employees benefits and life insurance line of business. Qualifications & ExperienceRequired: 2-4 years of experience as a personal line's agentbroker in a client service representative or account executive position.Preferred but not required: Experience with Applied EPIC or a comparable insurance agency management system.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical skills. Moderate Excel and Power Point skills is a must. We expect a candidate to be able to keep up with the Technology that our company often implements to assist in our success.Nimbleflexible to balance multiple tasks simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.A high degree of maturity, a strong work ethic, and an eager to learn attitude.Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required. Willingness to become a licensed insurance broker and grow the industry. Not expected to complete this prior to joining.
