Our team is growing, and we are proud to be a 100% employee owned company - every employee has skin in the game.Assembly Mechanics are assigned to one of the following areas:Pneumatic ShopHydraulic ShopHose ShopPower Unit ShopStrut ShopPanel ShopSpecific responsibilities:Read and follow engineering schematic drawings, Bills of Material, and technical specificationsAssemble, test, and service systems and components comprised mainly of company productsManage work flow to maintain in accordance with customer required datesPerform general mechanical tasks, including as necessary basic welding, torch, grinding, painting, etcMaintain records as required (assembly routers, quality, dimensional checks, testing, etc.)Fabricate and install high pressure tubing using standard fittingsMaintain the cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the shop areaRepair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment within the establishment such as test stands, saws, and paint boothPerform preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systemsMonitor the functioning of installed equipment to detect hazardsproblems and the potential need for adjustments, repairs, or replacementInspect work of othersSupport and participate in the organization's continual improvement program to conform to ISO 9001 requirements and understand the implications of not complying with the quality management system. Other duties as assignedRequirementsEducation and TrainingHigh school diploma or G.E.DForklift license preferredJourneyman skilled craft trainingapprenticeship certificate or combination of technical education and experience preferredFluid Power Society Certification for mechanic or technician preferredExperience:Three to five (3-5) years of experience in a manufacturing environmentWelding and spray booth painting experience (Military specifications andor ABS standards preferred)Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment a plusSkills Preferred:Knowledge of electrical processes and proceduresAbility to implement mechanical knowledge and skillsAbility to read, write, and use general math applications in order to read schematicsAbility to organize and prioritize work to ensure the daily workload is completedAbility to troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and basic electrical circuits, as applicableAbility to read, interpret and follow mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic control systems schematicsblueprintsAbility to use measuring instruments (i.e. torque wrenches, calipers, squares, scales, pressure and torque gauges, vibration sensing devices, temperature indicators, and measuring tape) to ensure componentssystems are within required tolerance and specificationsSelf-starter with excellent time management skills; ability to multi-task, including support of additional normal fabrication shop practices or assignments (equipment maintenance, clean up, cross functional training)Valid driver's license, and able to qualify and drive company vehicles (forklift, truck, etc.)Knowledge of OSHA safety procedures and policies preferredAbility to mentortrain other coworkersBenefitsWe offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and 401(k) plans with company match.
