Job Title: Distribution and Logistics CoordinatorCompany Overview: is a leading Cold-Chain Food Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company dedicated to delivering high-quality perishable products to our retail grocery and food service customers. Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Distribution and Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics and distribution relationships, orders and processes ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of our cold-chain food products to customers while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.Key Responsibilities:1.   Logistics Planning and Coordination:o   Develop, implement, and optimize comprehensive logistics strategies to optimize distribution processes.o   Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.2.   Cold-Chain Management:o   Oversee the cold-chain logistics, ensuring the proper handling and storage of perishable goods.o   Implement and maintain temperature-controlled protocols throughout the supply chain.3.   Inventory Management:o   Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock.o   Implement efficient inventory control measures to reduce losses, minimize possible shorting, and enhance accuracy.4.   Supplier and Carrier Management:o   Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and carriers to ensure reliability, cost effectiveness and consistency in the supply chain.o   Negotiate contracts and rates with logistics partners to optimize cost-effectiveness.5.   Compliance and Quality Assurance:o   Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding the transportation and handling of food products.o   Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to guarantee product integrity.6.   Technology Integration:o   Evaluate, implement, and manage logistics and distribution technologies to improve efficiency and visibility in the supply chain.Qualifications:1.   Education:o   Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business  Accounting, or a related field. 2.   Experience:o   Minimum of 6 years of experience in logistics and distribution management, preferably in the food or CPG industry.o   Proven experience in managing cold-chain logistics, food distribution.3.   Skills:o   Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.o   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.o   Proficient in logistics and inventory management software.o   Proficient at billing and team support services. o   In-depth knowledge of industry and regulatory requirements in cold-chain logistics.4.   Certifications:o   Certification in logistics or supply chain management is desirable.5.   Leadership Abilities:o   Demonstrated ability and desire to wear many hats in a small organizationo   Proven track record of successful project management and a team environment.6.   Adaptability:o   Ability to wear many hats and adapt to changing business needs and priorities.o   Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
