Locations: El Paso, TXPosition: Automation TechnicianOverview:The THAAD Automation Technician will sustain and maintain multi-functionalmulti-user information processing systems and peripheral equipment and auxiliary devices at the unit level.Responsibilities:Installs, operates, and performs unit maintenance on multi-functionalmulti-user information processing systems and peripheral equipment and auxiliary devicesPerforms inputoutput data control and bulk data storage operationsTransfers data between information processing equipment and systemsTroubleshoots automation equipment and systems to the degree required for isolation of malfunctions to specific hardware or softwareRestores equipment to operation by replacement of line replaceable unit; installs, operates, performs strapping, restrapping, Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services, and unit level maintenance on COMSEC devicesAssists in the design, preparation, editing, and testing of computer programs; configures information processing equipment into required operating configurationsPerforms senior operator and systems administrator duties and unit level maintenance functions on assigned computer systemsCompiles production report data and quality control informationAssists less experienced soldiers in the installation, operation and maintenance of information processing equipmentTroubleshoots software using established debugging proceduresSupervises the deployment, installation, operation, and unit level maintenance of multi-functionalmulti-user information processing systemsMinimum Qualifications:Active Secret ClearanceMust demonstrate compliance with Army Regulations for Deployability to all Areas of Responsibility prior to start - to include the standards outlined in USCENTCOM Individual Protection and Individual Unit Depolyment Policy, MOD-17Ability to obtain and maintain Commercial Driver's LicenseValid PassportPossession ofor ability to obtain and maintain either a CompTIA Security+ and A+ certification within 120 days of hireWilling to travel or deploy as called to any location with little to no prior noticePreferred Qualifications:Current Commercial Driver's LicensePrevious deployment experiencePrevious experience with THAAD or similar air defense system PMCS experienceExperience driving forkliftPrevious experience with COMSEC devicesPossession of a current CompTIA Security+and A+ certificationWhy work at ITC Defense:Employer Supplemented Health InsuranceEmployer Paid Dental and Vision InsuranceEmployer Paid Life and AD&D Insurance3% Biweekly 401(k) Contribution Paid Time OffTuition and Certification ReimbursementCompetitive Salaries with Performance IncentivesA positive working environment with supportive teammates and leadershipAs a HUBZone certified business, we strongly encourage Candidates who reside in a HUBZone to apply.
