We are great collaborators, and working with the designers, builders and owners is where we thrive.This role will require travel, specifically in the Eastern Region Summary Description:The Business Developer will lead and assist the bidding of construction projects by preparing conceptual and hard dollar estimates, proposals for new projects, as well as solicit subcontractor bids. This business developing position will have market ownership for Ventana's designbuild services including, but not limited to: identification and pursuit of new business opportunities; deepening the existing client relationships; cultivation of new clients; and facilitating the Ventana'sclient building partnership. This position works closely with marketing support staff, preconstruction, operations, and executive management to ensure total client satisfaction.Specific Responsibilities:Actively seeks and continually identifies, builds, and develops new client business relationshipsIdentify and evaluate new client and partner opportunities through direct prospecting, networking, attendance and participation with various industry and professional groups and networking associations.Work in conjunction with the bid team to prepare accurate bid proposalsDeliver compelling calls and presentations to introduce capabilities, and the Ventana brand.Assist with final assembly of estimate for presentation to ownerWork with business unit leader and project executives to present capabilities and execute salesdemonstration process to win the business.Review of the project construction schedule and assist in preparation of the General ConditionsParticipate with the preconstruction team in the review of the construction documents for value engineering and pricingSolicit additional capable subcontractors in various marketsSolicit and develop relationships with MBEDBEWBE firms in target markets for strategic partnerships.Maintain and develop historical data for unit prices.Developing scopes of work for each trade to bid projects.Calling subcontractors to review scopes and verify if bidding.Job Specifications:EducationExperienceAttributesA Bachelor's Degree in Business AdministrationA minimum of four (4) years of in the commercial construction industryDemonstrated experience leading complex sales processes that involve multiple team members within single organizations.Conceptual ability to work with minimum informationExcellent verbal and written communication skills both in English and SpanishTechnical-demonstrates the ability to perform mathematical calculations and possesses proficient data entry skills.Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office and Excel.Experience in attending Pre-Construction Meetings.Supervisory experience is a plus as well as solid communication skills and the ability to work well with all levels of management and company personnel.
