As we prepare to open our doors in the heart of Clarkston, MI, in the summer of 2024, we seek passionate individuals to join our team.Rudy's Prime Steakhouse is on a mission to find the most talented Executive Chef available for our new restaurant opening this summer. We have a state-of-the-art Montague open kitchen that will allow for creative menu options and unique cooking styles. Our kitchen team will be supported by an experienced management team as well as a strong ownership group that is in expansion mode with two other spaces in the design phase right now. This offers a tremendous growth opportunity to an Executive Chef and their team and to get in on the ground floor of a fast-growing restaurant group. If you have all of these skills, we would love to hear from you!DutiesManage kitchen staff, schedule shifts, and maintain food safety standards.Develop and create innovative menus that align with the restaurant's concept and target audience.Manage inventory and ensure proper stock levels of ingredients and supplies.Train and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and other culinary team members.Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop and implement strategies for improving efficiency and profitability.Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients.Stay updated on industry trends and new culinary techniques.QualificationsProven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality establishmentStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a teamIn-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and flavor profilesExcellent hospitality, organizational, and time management skillsAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with Toast POS software is preferred but not required.A degree in Culinary Arts or a related field is preferred.Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
