Learn more about how we're making workplaces safer and more inclusive at .Job DescriptionThe Business Development Representative is a producer that is experienced in B2B sales (insurance-based sales preferred) and ideally has experience using HubSpot or other CRM systems to manage their sales prospects, sales pipeline, and deal closings. The Business Development Representative solicits and sells Work Shield's platform, including our full-service misconduct solution (reporting, investigations, and resolutions) to existing and new business, maintains an existing book of business, expands the book of business, and proactively enhances the Work Shield's reputation and presence in the market. Specifically, the Business Development Representative will distribute directly (B2B) to other organizations nationwide, as well as work with our distribution partners in selling to their applicable clients and prospects.The Business Development Representative is an ambassador of Work Shield's brand and actively supports sales related marketing efforts including organic and direct marketing on social media, etc. The Business Development Representative will be assigned within the Sales Team and works under little to moderate supervision, with the expectation of achieving sales-based KPIs.Responsibilities:Lead Generation and Prospecting: Utilize advanced sales techniques to identify and engage prospective clients, generating a consistent flow of qualified leads from both personal initiatives and company-provided resources.Client Engagement and Relationship Management: Actively engage with key decision makers including CEOs, CFOs, HR Directors, and specialized roles such as GCs and Risk Managers. Understand their unique challenges and articulate how Work Shield's solutions address these pain points, fostering long-term partnerships.Sales Documentation and Client Analysis: Prepare and manage essential sales documentation including proposals, RFPs, ROI analyses, and client reports. Conduct comprehensive benchmarking studies and create service comparison reports to effectively communicate the value proposition to potential clients.CRM and Pipeline Management: Maintain meticulous records within the CRM system, ensuring the accuracy of contact lists and sales pipelines. Regularly log activities such as meetings, calls, and demonstrations to track progress and identify opportunities for engagement.Product Knowledge and Demonstration: Demonstrate a deep understanding of Work Shield's platform capabilities through effective demos to prospective clients. Stay updated on product features and industry standards by completing relevant CRM and sales training working and Brand Advocacy: Represent Work Shield at conferences, networking events, and in all external engagements to promote the brand and generate leads. Participate actively in sales team meetings and collaborate with team leads and other departments to align on strategies and goals.Adherence to Company Values: Embody Work Shield's core values in all interactions and responsibilities, contributing to a culture of integrity, innovation, and commitment to excellence.Miscellaneous Tasks: Take on additional tasks and projects as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to support the team and enhance our service offerings.Requirements:Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and more than three years related experience andor training, or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum 3 years of B2B SaaS sales experienceBasic financial data analysis experience preferred, as calculations of ROI and for prospects may be needed in your sales processUnderstands industry trends and governmental regulationsAbility to protect confidential client and company informationAbility to efficiently organize work and manage time to meet deadlinesAutonomous capabilities to constantly work toward achieving KPIs and closing new businessAbility to put in the sales effort and time to attend meetings and B2B networking opportunities outside of the normal 8:30-5:00 workdaySkills:Exceptional language skills for effective communication, including the ability to analyze and interpret technical and financial documents.Mathematical aptitude for calculating sales-related figures and projections.Problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate varying scenarios and provide tailored solutions.Proficiency in using CRM systems, spreadsheet and word processing software, with a preference for candidates comfortable with Macbooks and Gmail, in line with Work Shield's technology and security pensation and BenefitsSalaries for this role fall between $70,000 and $90,000, not including sales commissions, and is commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal pay equity. This role is also eligible for a discretionary bonus based on individual and organizational performance and goal attainment.
