Job Title: Regional Finance ManagerReports To: Regional Finance DirectorFLSA Status: Exempt SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Regional Finance Manager works under the guidance of and assists the Regional Finance Director in managing the oversight, preparation, analysis, and distribution of the regional internal and customer financial reporting. Responsibilities will include accounting and other special projects assigned by executive management from time to time and are summarized below.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist multiple Regional Directors in directing the business process of the region in accordance with corporate policies.Manage, review and assist with the monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results.Reviews and documents analysis of project estimates on lump sum contracts to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles Manage, review and assist with providing data to multiple Regional Directors and other operational personnel on operating costs data, including productivity reporting, equipment & labor utilization, per diem spend, and other back office and operational indirect expenses.Supports Operations in preparation of monthly business review meeting by helping to prepare explanations of variances to budget and forecast.Responsible for holding monthly major project reviews with Project Managers and document explanations of variances to bid.Understand contract terms and conditions, be knowledgeable of contractual requirements, and recognize discrepanciesResponsible for training of Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers & Project Coordinators on use of company systems, including production, time entry, job set up, reporting, etc.Overall responsibility of the billing and collections function of the region.Provide leadership and mentoring for Billing Specialists. Develop procedures and streamline processes that results in an improved collection cycle.Responsible for the set-up of new Reporting Groups, including standard back office and field indirect job set up.Document and standardize transaction processes. Review and recommend process improvements.Assist with special projects as requested by Corporate and Regional Management.Assist with financial system implementation and upgradesMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 5 years of related experience. Experience in the construction or utility industry. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Good presentation skills Planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work Must be willing to travel with their assigned regionINTREN is an equal opportunity employer.
