Remedy is thrilled to be working with a local Syracuse, NY manufacturing company with an urgent need for a Maintenance Mechanic.The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for providing a wide range of activities to include service and repair of all machines, equipment and structures in and around the facility.Check out more great details below!Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic (Direct Hire)Job Type: Full Time Permanent Direct HireLocation: Syracuse, NYPay: $30hour DOE, wage commensurate of experience.Benefits: Package availableEssential job duties for this role will include:Set Up, Trouble Shooting and Preventative Maintenance.Provide support to the production team to produce superior quality materials the meet or exceed client needs.This role supports the needs of manufacturing and facilities to ensure both are in top working order.Diagnose mechanical equipment to diagnose any issues.Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basicExamines mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble locate and repair defective componentsUses detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbalwritten instructions.Properly inspect and maintains shop equipment, in accordance with OSHA stalls functional and structural parts in devices or equipment and prepares new machines and production equipment for operations.Follows a strict preventative maintenance schedule to lessen downtime related to machine repair and maintenance.Fundamental Qualifications:Repairs: Mechanical equipment, pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems, and production machines using hand tools, testing equipment, and power tools.Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts.Assembles machinery after moving locationsAdjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.Cleans and lubricates all parts of machineryElectro and mechanical focus: Installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for generating, distributing and utilizing electrical energy.Uses instruments to test circuits and replaces or installs new power, light, electronic and control circuits.Troubleshooting electrical malfunctions, inspects circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding, and tests electrical equipment for safety and efficiency.Repair complex electrical equipment, including motors, switches, switchboards, electrical mechanisms, automated machines, control panels, relays and alarms.Performs complex wiring assignmentsInstalls, measures, cuts, bonds, threads, assemblies and installs conduitElectrical system: schematics, drawings, layouts, or other specs to locate and diagnose trouble in an electrical systemAssists engineers in diagnosing problems and suggesting corrective actionsImplements and understands those ISO 9000 procedures that relate to the role and responsibilities of position.Orders parts and requisitions new parts neededPrepares reports and keeps inventory recordsFacilities and repairs of facility as neededWe're looking for a Maintenance Mechanic with the following background profileskillset:Display good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Electro and mechanical experience.Experienced with mechanics, electrical, preventative and installation of equipment.Maintains and tracks appropriate maintenance and repair logs.If you are a knowledgeable Maintenance Mechanic professional with experience in supervisorleadership, we strongly urge you to apply today for immediate consideration!(Please note we will immediately begin sending initial interview invitations to qualitied candidates via email so please be sure you're applying with your most up-to-date resume and contact info and keep an eye on your inboxjunk mail!)
