As part of this team, you will be responsible for the preparation of various expense related accruals for entities. This position will report to the Accounting Manager.What You'll Do:Maintain accounts and sub-ledgers and prepare balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, including the timely resolution of any outstanding reconciling items.Generate manual and system-driven journal entries to be reviewed by the Accounting Manager and Assistant Controller, including the creation of vital analyses and back-up support.Responsible for various high-value accruals, including marketing, and IT expenses.Identify proper ledger coding for fixed assets, set up system generated depreciation schedules, review fixed asset listing for disposals impairment.Identify proper ledger coding for prepaid assets and set up system generated amortization schedules.Provide accounting and reporting assistance to other cross-functional teams (i.e. FP&A, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Legal, IT, etc.).Develop and improve accounting processes and reporting.Who You Are:Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP)Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Office applications, most notably ExcelExcellent analytic, time management, written, verbal and organizational skills with a proven ability to manage conflicting priorities to deliver a high quality work product requiredGreat teammate with previous cross-functional exposure who is able to liaise with various departments and levels every dayAbility to work independently, as well as in a team environment, to solve problemsProactive, motivated, self-starter that is looking for upward mobility and progression in their accounting careerBachelor's Degree in AccountingCPA or CPA candidate preferred1-2 years of accounting experience at a public accounting firm or at a publicly-traded company preferredFor a list of our Perks + Benefits, click here! supports diverse families and communities and seeks employees who are just as diverse.
