Years of politics without progress, of posturing and infighting among elected officials while inequalities festered, have eroded residents' belief that our city can solve its problems. But we know there's reason for optimism. That's why we're tapping into our city's most valuable resource "” civically engaged residents "” and channeling their frustration and perceived lack of power into action. We host events and activities for our network of volunteers to meet fellow solutions-oriented neighbors and learn about new ways to move the needle on the issues they care most about "” from improving access to education, addressing food insecurity, to supporting small businesses. By providing San Franciscans with the knowledge and opportunities they need to get involved, lasting change is possible. About the role We are looking for a smart, detail oriented, proactive, organized Executive Business Partner to act as the chief support to our FounderCEO and leadership team. The environment at this non-profit is fast paced, and we have a high-performing close-knit team who works well together. This position requires ambition, flexibility and dedication. We want someone engaged and proactive, supporting our very busy CEO so that she can spend time on mission critical projects, and our leadership team, so that our organization and office run efficiently. This position is full-time and includes benefits. The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $140,000 based on experience. We currently work a hybrid work schedule, 3 days a week in our SF office and 2 days remotely. About You The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in San Francisco politics and civic affairs, and be passionate about increasing civic engagement and voter education to help our city run more effectively. Being the gatekeeper to the very busy CEO, proactively managing her calendar and scheduling meetings.Assisting the CEO with meeting preparations (i.e., printing, posting materials).Answering and responding quickly to phone calls, emails, texts and Slack messages.Staffing leadership team at events.Responsible for communicating important information to the team.A detail-oriented self-starter with prior experience in start-ups is a plus.Planning and executing team events.Responsible for external vendor relationships and contractors, including technology partners, accountants and legal. Owning accounting related tasks like bill processing and tracking documents for accountants.Preparing and maintaining expense reports.Responsible for all office management and organization, including managing external support teams, communications with building management and conference room technology. Someone who exhibits sound judgment with the ability to prioritize and make decisions.Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.A team player capable of cultivating productive working relationships across the organization.Making travel and transportation arrangements.Required Skills5 years prior experience in supporting a senior executive or team in an office corporate setting is required. This is not an entry-level role. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to multitask and prioritize.Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment. Flexible and focused on solutions. Highly curious, motivated, proactive and adaptable to a fluid environment.Excellent time management skills. Resourceful, can-do attitude.Thrives in a fast-paced environment.Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information discreetly.Excellent computer skills, including a must have proficiency with Google Suite, Slack, and Apple computers.
