We value being open, honest, genuine, and thoughtful with each other, our clients, community stakeholders, and consultants.Description: BKV Group seeks a talented, experienced, and expert Justice Practice Leader to lead BKV Group's Government Practice in Chicago, IL. With more than 25-years of overall experience, the candidate must have a well-rounded architecture experience in all aspects of design and documentation with an emphasis leading County Jail and Courthouse projects. This position is responsible for project planning, project management, and marketing our services with a client-advocate focus understanding what clients want and need. BKV Group utilizes a marketer-doer business model where your skills as a senior architectural practitioner is valued by our client's by providing continuity of the relationship while leading and managing the projects. The position carries the responsibility and authority for business development - marketing our services and developing new clients.Project Planning: Fully understand client goals, objectives, and what a successful project looks like for the client. Develop an operational program and space list. Lead conceptual planning of the project working in conjunction with the Senior Architectural Designer. Use unique skillsets, backgrounds, training, and talents to optimize solutions for assigned projects.Project Management: Act as lead driver for projects and primary point of contact with project clients (partner-in-charge role). Consult with clients and project manager to determine project scope, budget, and schedule of project. Foster and maintain a collaborative professional working environment with project manager and design staff. Monitor financial success of the project, assess work progress, maintain project scope, budget and schedule, and assess the need for additional services from client.Marketing Services: Research target markets and competitors and identify prospects (assisting across all BKV practice sites, with an emphasis on IL, MI, WI, IN, IA, & MO). Develop relationships with prospects during pre-sales pre-referendum period. Develop messaging for marketing content, proposals and interviews.Mentoring: Mentor planning and design staff on programming and planning topics. Mentor more experienced staff on project management, technical matters, and marketing services.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in architecture preferred.Licensed and registered Architect preferred.25+ years' related experience.Must be proficient in Revit and Microsoft Office dustry and technical expertise in Jails and Courthouses.Certification or experience in sustainable building design a plus.With excellent benefits, competitive salaries, a hybrid work schedule, and continuous opportunities for growth, we give you the tools to achieve your goals.
