This position reports to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager of Marmon Foodservice Technologies for the Americas. The Sr Financial Planning & Analysis Cost Analyst plays a crucial role in analyzing and managing the financial performance of an organization. This role focuses specifically on cost analysis and works closely with various departments to provide accurate and actionable financial insights. The Cost Analyst is responsible for evaluating costs, identifying areas of improvement, and providing recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.What You'll DoCost Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of costs across different departments and projects. Identify cost drivers, variances, and trends to assess the financial performance of the organization. Analyze cost data to support decision-making processes and optimize resource allocation.Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain accurate budgets and forecasts. Monitor actual expenses against budgeted targets and provide regular reports to management. Identify and explain budget variances, and assist in developing strategies to achieve financial goals.Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including cost analysis, budget vs. actuals, and other relevant financial metrics. Communicate findings to key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.Process Improvement: Continuously assess existing cost management processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Streamline financial reporting procedures, develop standardized templates, and automate reporting tasks where possible. Collaborate with other teams to enhance data accuracy and efficiency.Cost Control and Optimization: Monitor cost trends and identify cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with operational teams to implement cost reduction strategies without compromising quality or productivity. Evaluate and propose alternative sourcing strategies and vendor management techniques to optimize costs.Financial Modeling: Build financial models to support decision-making and scenario analysis. Perform sensitivity analysis and evaluate the financial impact of potential business initiatives, investments, or cost-saving measures. Provide insightful recommendations based on the outcomes of the models.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders, including finance teams, department heads, and senior management. Collaborate with other analysts to share best practices, standardize methodologies, and ensure consistency in financial reportingSkillsExperience We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.Proven experience as a cost analyst, financial analyst, or similar role, preferably within a corporate environment.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends.Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.Advanced knowledge of financial principles, cost accounting methodologies, and variance analysis.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.Strong communication skills to present findings and recommendations to non-financial stakeholders.Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, financial modeling software).Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.Benefits We support your well-being with comprehensive and easy-to-use benefits that you'll be eligible to enroll in on your first day of employment.
