Coordinates and monitors work with Maintenance Mechanics. Ensures all PM are resolved, and unresolved issues get escalated on a timely manner. This position is located at our Newark, NJ plant and is an onsite at the plant.Essential Job Functions:Provides appropriate coaching and feedback to all hourly direct reports and oversees the daily maintenance issues (troubleshooting).Performs periodic evaluations maintenance operations, equipment, and procedures to ensure they operate in an efficient and effective manner, recommending replacement or enhancements to all maintenance systems, to include cost estimation and purchasing.Develops and executes procedures for plant maintenance for routine and nonroutine activities, to ensure safe operations and compliance with appropriate standards.Monitors and coordinates all open PM's, and work orders in the SAP system, attends all PHA's and handles permits (hot work, confines space, etc.).Coordinates nonroutine contactor repairs (reactor inspections, code welding, ultrasonic tests, crane rentals, etc.), and works with production to schedule equipment downtime and coordinates with mechanics to complete work, enforcing compliance with all plant standards.Qualifications & Experience:Black Seal Boiler Operator License, required. Experience in troubleshooting and performing various kinds of pumps (centrifugal, lobe, gear, and diaphragm pump) repair with the ability to train others on.Proficient on mechanical seal replacement (single and double mechanical seal), setting impeller, etc.Know how to Install pump shaft, oil isolators, bearings, etc.Understand tolerance measurements including shaft deflection, alignment, vibration, motor soft foot, etc.Experience in managing a PM program utilizing CMMS software, including creating new PMs, setting schedules, and handling work orders ensuring the system is always up to date.Ability to create maintenance SOP and train mechanics.Experience with general plumbing of water and steam services, such as steam and condensate loops. Experience in performing PMs of steam traps and strainers.Knowledge of PSM system.Knowledge of piping and tank inspection codes such as API and STI.Experience in managing PM programs using Asset Essential.Knowledge of industrial electrical system.5-10 years maintenance manufacturing plant experience.
