We challenge perspectives and push the boundaries of creativity and innovation. Based in New York, Artestar has affiliate offices in China, South Korea, Japan, Italy, France, Germany, Sweden, Turkey, Brazil, Argentina, Israel, and Australia.What You'll DoThe Brand Manager is responsible for managing and leading brand and artist direction and positioning, ensuring each artist's continued sustainable growth and elevation in the global market across all channels, categories, and activations. By working closely with leadership and the business development team, brand management oversees product development and marketing rollouts working in tandem with the respective artists, estates, and foundations. Through exceptional customer-service, business reporting, and strong relationships with all stakeholders, brand management is equipped and prepared to deliver on each artist's vision, all of which drive financial target achievements.  You'll also be responsible for supporting business development to analyze and identify opportunities to extend portfolio artists into new categories, territories, experiences, and ventures.What You'll Be Working OnDrive Growth:• Partner with the business development team to drive growth and success of all projects, assuring follow-on opportunities and alignment and agreement on licensing and expansion priorities.• Positively steward, inspire, and galvanize the organization around each portfolio artist visions, position, and strategies so that licensees are clear in bringing them to life in their areas of functional expertise.• Own and evangelize the vision, position, and architecture of the entire artists portfolio.• Leverage all content to drive awareness, growth, and financial & KPI performance.• Direct brand activity across various functions, including business development, product development, marketing, reporting, operations, and other tasks as needed.• Apply in-depth knowledge of product, pricing, distribution, and branding to licensee performance planning and management.• Maintain artist brand integrity across all touchpoints ensuring elevation and cohesiveness in product and marketing.• Schedule and own quarterly and annual in-person touchpoints with customers, strategizing around growth initiatives.Manage Licensee Relationships:• Serve as the primary point of contact and point-person for all clients and brandslicensees through exceptional customer-service, communication, and relationship management.  • Lead development and organization of essential reporting tools for company (i.e. budgeting, revenue trackers, contract details, launch calendar, and others).• Partner closely with each licensing partner to understand respective business models and product development cycles to launch timely, drive retail profitability, sell-throughs, and overall commercial success.• As needed, act as principal liaison to facilitate transactions between licensee and retailer.• Own product development in management of product development cycle from initial concept to market, including reviewing concepts, designs, pre-production samples and marketing materials, liaising with licensees and international agents to provide written and visual feedback on submissions, and photographing and organizing samples.• Creating and editing pdf decks to convey feedback in clear, concise language.• Onboarding new licensees, setting and managing in-person or video conference kick-off calls, and ensuring that licensees receive all necessary guidelines and creative materials.Drive Artist Development & Positioning:• Schedule and own quarterly and yearly in-person touchpoints with clients, strategizing on top priorities, initiatives, key learnings, and celebrating wins.• Understand the DNA of each artist and how best to execute product and marketing rollouts that elevate artist most effectively.• Assist in negotiating new licensing agreements; participate in sales and marketing presentations, as necessary.Facilitate Effective Licensing Management:• Participate in brand strategy discussions and opportunity identification. • Update all dashboard reporting for analysis, insight, and proactive troubleshooting.• Analyze consumer trends and information and help identify product categories to enter as future sources of growth.• Assist in overseeing the direction, implementation, execution, and continuous improvement of the licensing processes.Must-Haves:• Has at least 5-8 years of experience in product development, merchandising, business development, brand marketing, andor licensing program management.• Has a bachelor's degree in a relevant field or comparable work experience.• Can demonstrate a proven track record in brand management "” licensing, merchandising, product development, marketing and global brand experience important.• Strong product knowledge and analytical skills.• Possesses a strong understanding of how licensing product deals are identified and negotiated.• Is experienced in securing and managing licensing deals in a variety of product categories.• Is a great researcher who stays up to date on the latest trends in branding and product opportunities.• Has a hands-on background with forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing royalty revenue data.• Is an excellent communicator, verbal, written, and in the room.• Exhibits excellent attention to detail, is organized, and has a bias for action.• Must have strong computer proficiency and working knowledge of MS Office.
