Job Description:

Mortgage back-office operations is a department which deals with various sub-processes within the Mortgage Originations domain. This position will be responsible for various duties relating to the pre-closing and monitoring of loans prior to closing. The Pre-close review specialist will always exhibit a high level of professionalism and confidentiality, communicate with processors and closers prior to closing of loans. Must have knowledge of state and federal guidelines to ensure all files are complaint.Duties & Responsibilities:Review loans for Originations, Pre-Funding Post Funding, Closing functions to ensure that all compliance requirements are met and all information matchesis consistent across all file documentsReview file prior to closing for missing initial loan documentationReview file expiration dates to ensure documents are valid at closingComplete Review of Loan Estimate and Closing DisclosuresReview of all documents in the closing package including loan specific docs and state specific docsEnsure that the underwriter's conditions have been satisfied.Setting up of Escrow accounts and ensure property titles are clear and the buyer and seller's agreement is fulfilledResponsible for ensuring proper supporting documentation for change of circumstance and timing requirementsAll Vendor documents like Appraisal, Title, Insurance, Tax documents etc. to be reviewed and validatedReviewing all preliminary documents provided from attorneytitle company to include, but not limited to: Title binder, survey, termite report, HazardFlood insurance binder, Deed, HUD1 SettlementAdhere to internal policies to ensure compliance with legal parameters as well as company policies and procedures Above targets are business driven and can change basis business needsOther ResponsibilitiesTo be a good team playerTo be able to share new ideas towards process improvementMust have the ability to mentor new joiners with regards to process SkillCompetency Requirements:Knowledge and understanding of entire mortgage loan processKnowledge in Pre-Closing Audit preferredMicrosoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Strong attention to detail Analytical SkillsExcellent communication skills (written andor oral)
