Job Description:

This is an exciting new role at one of the world's leading tech PR and communications agencies. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the world's most innovative and fast-growth B2B technology companies, leading the agency's work in crafting stories and securing earned media opportunities that reach the audiences that matter to our clients most.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Report to Deputy MD and NYC office lead, Brands2Life USWork with clients to develop media stories that can be placed in the earned channels that will enable the clients to reach their target audiencesMaintain close relationships with tier 1 business and technology writers, editors and producers, enabling the agency to test story ideas as well as quickly pitch for considerationKeep the agency account teams and clients continually updated on journalist movementsKeep the agency and account teams informed on the trends each key journalistpublication is most interested in coveringCommunicate pitch feedback with the account teams and clients and continuously make updates to story angles and identify new onesMonitor breaking news each morning and identify opportunities for rapid response commentary on behalf of the agency's clientsParticipate in the preparation of new business proposals and attend new business pitches to present on the earned media strategy, as requiredUnderstand the earned media KPIs across all assigned client accounts and ensure quarterly targets are consistently met or exceededPOSITION REQUIREMENTS 8+ years of experience crafting stories for B2B technology companies and working closely with top tier trade, business and technology media OR 8+ years of professional journalism experience, covering technology companiesA consistent and prolonged track record of crafting creative and compelling technology and business stories that were then published or produced in top tier business and technology publications; podcasts; and broadcast channelsDeep relationships with business and technology writers, editors and producers at the US' top business, technology and broadcast outletsDemonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with a team and communicate professionally with a variety of stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to quickly get up to speed on different types of technology, master clients' core messages, and translate their offering in a way that appeals and can be understood by a wider business audienceDemonstrated ability to generate new media relationshipsThe ability to be present and visible in the market as a media relations thought leader, including participating in a variety of networking events to continually deepen and expand media relationshipsA curious self-started with a determined work ethic that enables you to continuously try new approaches until targets are achievedIn return, we can offer you a fantastic working culture with excellent long-term career development and highly competitive benefits, including healthcare, dental care, flexible working, industry leading training, paid sabbaticals, and lots more.At Brands2Life we are proud of the company culture that has been created by our wonderful talent.
