Job Description:

As the Hardware Engineer you will contribute to the development and implementation of test systems for components, subsystems, and unit testing of electrical systems. This encompasses both hardware and software development and integration, as well as the design of PCBs. Additionally, the role includes managing fabrication and assembly with vendors and contract manufacturers, as well as inventory management. It is intricately involved in the design control process, covering requirements generation, verification, and validation.Responsibilities include:Hardware development for testing electrical components and subsystems within medical imaging systems.Characterization and verification of components and subsystems.Verification of system requirements and report ventory management of hardware components for development system builds.Printed circuit board design and layout, along with fabrication and assembly vendor management.Creation of bench-level experimental setups and interfaces for data collection.Code generation for test setups, user interfaces for debugging, and automation of characterization routines.Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.Over 5 years of industry experience.Hands-on experience with CAD design and layout, preferably using Spice simulator and Altium.Testing experience with microelectronic components and systems.Lab experience with instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power supplies, data acquisition boards, etc.) and circuit debugging.Hands-on experience with systems utilizing FPGAs or microcontrollers.Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications, drawings, and technical analyses.Proficiency in Python programming.Willingness to relocate to the greater St. Louis, MO dustry experience in creating detailed test documentation (plans, protocols, reports).Preferred skillsqualifications:Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or over 7 years of industry experience.Previous ownership of requirements generation.Product verification efforts for medical device products, including building and maintaining testcalibration systems.Proficient programming skills in Python or CC++.Experience collaborating with or managing outside vendors to specify, develop, and qualify test solutions.
