WE ARE HIRING: Senior Project Structural Engineer in Bloomfield Hills, MichiganPosition: Senior Project Structural EngineerOffice Location: Bloomfield Hills, MIWe are currently seeking a Senior Project Structural Engineer who must be a fully competent professional who possesses an extensive and diversified knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices in a broad area of assignments and related fields. The Senior Project Structural Engineer must be proficient in designing structures constructed of structural Steel, reinforced and prestressed concrete, timber and masonry in accordance with current applicable standards and codes with emphasis in the design of low rise buildings. In addition, the Senior Project Structural Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that their delegated projects are completed on time and within the budget provided.Senior Project Structural Engineer Qualifications and Experience Needed:Bachelor's or Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering in Structural Engineering, plus 8-12 years' experienceRegistered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of MichiganDesign experience with the development of contract construction plans, estimates, specifications and bid documents for low rise buildings, sanitary and wastewater structures, and specialty structures for local municipalities, MDOT, and commercial and industrial clients in accordance with applicable agency standards and codesStrong organizational, analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience with various design methodologies such as ASD, LFD and LRFDExperience with structural engineering programs such as RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge Enterprise, LEAP Consys and EnercalcProficient with Microsoft Word and ExcelSenior Project Structural Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:Design and develop contract documents for structural engineering projects, including plans, technical specifications, reports, structural cost estimates and other relevant Project types include new structures and rehabilitation of existing steel and concrete structures.Responsible for project development, handling scheduling, creating proposals and budgeting.Review and approve construction documents such as shop drawings, RFI's, Change Orders and Equivalent SubstitutionsPerform plan reviews in accordance with the Michigan Building CodeSeal and sign project documentsPerform routine and detailed inspections for various types of structuresMaintain a good relationship with the client both during the project and upon completion to promote client loyalty and secure future workOur Firm at a Glance:We pride ourselves on our 100+ years of service to our municipal, industrial, and private clients' and know it would not be possible without our dedicated most valued team players.
