Lab Advanced Solutions (see below) is seeking a dynamic Clinical Laboratory Equipment Field Service Engineer Level II. As a Field Service Engineer (FSE) Level II, you will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and servicing clinical laboratory equipment sold by LAS. Your expertise and dedication to quality work ensures that our diagnostic instruments operate efficiently, contributing to accurate test results and patient well-being. Extensive travel to provide on-site instrument service to customers. We're hiring skilled clinical laboratory equipment Field Service Engineers in the following markets:Los Angeles, CA (Pacific region)Chicago, IL (Great Lake regions)Philadelphia, PA (Mid-Atlantic region)Jacksonville, FL (SE region)YOU CAN AND WILL DOPerform installation, preventive maintenance, and repairs on clinical laboratory instruments from manufacturers such as Abbott, Beckman Coulter, Hitachi, IL, Olympus, Ortho, Roche, Siemens, Sysmex, and Thermo Scientific.Troubleshoot complex issues related to analyzers, centrifuges, spectrophotometers, and automated systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and optimize instrument performance.Experience with Beckman Coulter analyzers is required.Customer Support - resolve technical issues efficiently and educate users on instrument operation, maintenance, and best practices.Quality Assurance - ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., CLIA, CAP, FDA) during service activities. Participate in proficiency testing and quality control procedures. PHYSICAL DEMANDSCandidates must be able to lift, lower, carry, push, pull 1-50 lbs. frequently and 50-100 lbs. occasionally.Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, turn, crouch, crawl, push, pull, sit, and stand for extended periods of time.Candidates must also be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex and extend neck, have good hand and finger dexterity.Ability to work in tight spaces. WHAT YOU OFFERBachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or related fieldCertification as a Clinical Laboratory Instrument Technician (CLIT) preferred3-5 years of hands-on experience servicing clinical laboratory instrumentsProficiency with instrument models from specified manufacturers such as Abbott, Beckman Coulter, Hitachi, IL, Olympus, Ortho, Roche, Siemens, Sysmex, Thermo ScientificRoad Warrior - up to 75% travel through designated area with periodic overnightsValid driver's license, automobile insurance, clean driving recordReliable transportation (mileage reimbursement at current IRS rate)Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Current residency within the designated area.
