And we're dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible to improve patient care and outcomes.If you are looking for a career path that merges your passion for technology with a purposeful career that has a direct impact on your community, apply to join our Information Management and Technology (IMT) team at Upstate Medical University.Job Summary:The Server Administrator's primary responsibility is to protect critical systems and data through monitoring, security update deployment, vulnerability remediation, and proactive maintenance.Additional duties include the administration and support of the Windows and VMware environment, including requirements analysis, server deployment, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related area and three (3) years relevant experience or Associates degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related area and five (5) years relevant experience along with strong analytic, interpersonal skills and customer service orientation required.Familiarity with data networking concepts and associated technologies like DNS**Candidates who possess a Bachelor's degree in a computer related field (or an Associate's in a computer related field and a minimum of two (2) years relevant experience) may be considered for appointment to a lower level position at a commensurate salary.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a healthcare environment and can demonstrate familiarity with data networking concepts, including associated technologies like DNS. Experience with virtualization platforms andor cloud technologies, Active Directory, and shell scripting (bash, Powershell, etc.).Experience with patch management solutions.Work Days:Monday-Friday, 8:00a-5:00pApply online:
