Avo Photonics is a dynamic contract engineering services company that designs, develops, andmanufactures custom opto-electronic products for a large customer base. We seek a diligent and dedicated Systems Administrator who can maintain and document a secure server environment. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, maintain a professional presence, and have the desire to take ownership of projects.Responsibilities:Maintain Dell server hardware and Active Directory & Group Policy.Maintain UPS & PDU systems and monitor coverage of all client side security applications.Create & maintain documentation and procedures.Manage Veeam backup software & disaster recovery procedures.Manage Windows Update deployment and a cloud based telecom system.Manage File Server data and the underlying storage.Maintain Windows Servers & Hyper-V and maintain Inventory management systems.Audits endpoints across all systems and assist the desktop support team when required.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred.5+ years of Systems Administration experience.Strong understanding of DHCP, DNS, & Hyper-V.Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows Server.Basic understanding of switching and routing protocols.Knowledge of Ubuntu server preferred.Able to work nights andor weekends when required.Ability to work onsite full time, climb up and down a ladder & the ability to lift 50 pounds.Able to wear a mask and gown when working in a clean room environment.This job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of responsibilities required for thisposition.
