We are expanding and currently hiring an additional quality-oriented Landscape CAD TechnicianDesign Assistant. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, vacation, and holiday pay.Job Description:The CAD TechnicianDesign Assistant is responsible for design activities to include creating digital landscape designs, rendered landscape plans, construction details, and assisting with creating proposals and cost estimates based on accurate measurements and analyses. You will assist managers of projects through to completion while working in collaboration with our production team to ensure project success. Such as taking on-site measurements and elevations for new designs; meeting and training with Designers on properrequired items required for plans and assisting the Design & Sales Team with CRM support (estimates, times, letters, etc.)This is an excellent role for someone looking for a starting point in their career of custom residential landscape design. Great opportunity for true hands-on experience with design, from project inception to completion of a project. Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities:° Design Skills:Able to produce planting, irrigation, drainage, and hardscape plans and details from concept to completion.Able to transfer building schematics into presentabledrawable CAD blueprints.Ability to read, analyze and understand site maps. Design scope will include but is not limited to:Planting and landscape designsPools, spas, and water featuresDecks, pavilions, pergolas, and other structure typesPatios, walkways, retaining wallsFireplace and fire pitsOutdoor kitchensOutdoor lighting3D Design of outdoor living scapes ° Time Management:Able to plan and efficiently produce drawings and manage personal time to assure maximum productivity.  ° Green Industry Knowledge:Have a thorough understanding of landscape services and products to accurately implement project designs to manage the needs of the client effectively and efficiently. ° Company Relations:Build and maintain rapport and positive working relations with field, office, and management personnel to resolve problems, exploit opportunities, and maximize profits. Ability to conduct preinstall review with the Production Manager, project foreman or supervisor. ° Documentation:In a timely fashion, prepare complete, clear, and concise designs. Ability to maintain accurate records of email, letters, and designs for potential recall. ° Special Projects:Provide support for any special projects as assigned by your manager. These special projects, at the determination of your manager, may or may not become part of this position's primary responsibilities. ° Other duties as assigned.
