Job Description:

The Product Quality Manager supports the quality function regarding leadership, training, and guidance to problem solving, implementation of quality systems, and compliance to required standards, as well as customer and internal requirements. This position supports assigned manufacturing plant Quality and Engineering teams through hands on facilitation and guidance of best practices. The support function will include management of special projects that impact multiple facilities through the manufacturing process. Duties & Responsibilities: ManagementManage customer calls regarding product delivery, delays, testing and product technical details.Facilitate and train quality and engineering teams to problem solving methodologies impacting multiple site investigations using corporate approved tools and systems.Provide guidance to plant management on resource management, and prioritization.Document and report status of projects through approved management software.Assist plants to address escalated nonconformance root cause analysis and customer or certification audit findings.Educate methods for lessons learned and leverage opportunities.Assess current quality system processes for cross plant functions for gaps and best practices, work directly with the plant teams to define improvements to impact KPIs and Customer Scorecards.Quality Systems and Continuous ImprovementAssess systems metrics such as 8D, KPIs, SPC, and Audit findings for systemic improvement opportunities in the assigned plants.Facilitate customer root cause correction actions internally and with customers.Maintain Qualified Products List (QPL) active company status with Department of DefenseAssist in the implementation of Quality Systems to ensure systemic issues are addressed and evidence of sustainability is present.Educate quality teams to understand the tools and systems available or required per Corporate Quality policy.Assist with new program training in assigned plants.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering or Science discipline. 5-10 plus years of industry experience in Quality or Engineering that may include experience in Operations or equivalent function, previous multi-site responsibility experience preferred.Proficiency in manufacturing processes, technologies or other relevant areas of responsibilityDemonstrated experience using continuous improvement tools and fundamentals to drive results and change.Change management experience required.Able to document and train processes in approved systems.Effective and proven management skills.Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office and other similar software applications, experience in SAP, InfinityQS, Minitab Engage, or Smartsheet a plus.Excellent writing, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with experience communicating with diverse language locations where English is not the primary language.Proficient in English, verbal and written.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization in both formal presentation and informal interaction.Ability to present information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization and global locations.Detail and Quality focused with strong organization skills.Self-starter, motivated, team focused, and results driven.Assertive, solutions focused, goal oriented.Demonstrated history of consistently exceeding goals.Ability to travel nationally and internationally up to 25% of the time.
