Job Description:

Beneva Group has recently been engaged by an innovative solar energy manufacturer to help them find their first Equipment Engineer as they launch their first US-based factory in Indianapolis, IN. As an Equipment Engineer in a highly automated facility, you will be responsible for analyzing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing equipment to uphold and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness in the manufacturing plant.Key Responsibilities:Analyze, inspect, maintain, and repair equipment in facilityPerform Root Cause Analysis, devise solutions, implement improvements, and establish effective prevention measures for problems that arise with equipmentMaintain facility equipment and keep meticulous records of equipment performance, equipmentpart failures, machine downtime, and solutionscorrective actions to problems - create and maintain a detailed and accessible database of Lessons LearnedPurchase sparereplacement parts for equipment, track purchase requests, maintain spare part safety stock, etc.Develop Standard Operating Procedures Work Instructions for using production equipment; train and assess other employees in safe and proper usage of machinesParticipate in planning, purchasing, installation, and commissioning of new equipmentGuide, train, and coach equipment technicians in proper machine usageQualifications:Bachelor's degree in mechanical, mechatronics, or electrical engineering; automation control; or other related field8+ years of experience in equipment maintenance (3+ years of experience managing automation equipment)Upon starting position, ability to travel to China for one month for solar industry orientation and trainingProficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Proficient in mechanical electrical system design principles and Servo controlProficient in CAD drawings and programming softwareStrong experience with automation equipment (e.g., welding machines, laminating machines, cutting machines, etc.)Strong sense of responsibility and strong communication and teamwork capabilitiesExcellent creative problem-solving abilitiesThis position is located in Indianapolis, IN.
