Entry-Level POS Help Desk Technician in the Syracuse NY areaResponsibilities:Provide frontline support for restaurant staff encountering Point of Sale (POS) system issues.Troubleshoot hardware and software problems related to POS terminals, printers, scanners, and payment processing devices.Assist in configuring and installing POS software updates and patches.Document and escalate complex technical issues to senior technicians or vendors when necessary.Educate restaurant staff on basic troubleshooting techniques to minimize recurring problems.Maintain accurate records of support tickets and resolutions.Requirements:Basic understanding of Point of Sale systems and restaurant operations.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant coursework is a plus.
