We have an immediate career growth opportunity for an experienced Test Technician within our Environments Mission Area. Our Test Technician will be responsible for validating the suitability and performance of new engineering designs and products. The Test Technician will support testing such as, evaluation, qualification, lot acceptance, and combined environment reliability testing.The ideal candidate would have familiarity with hand tools (wrenches, torque wrenches, air drills etc.), ability to read and interpret test plans, test setup and configuration, instrumentation, programming, and data acquisition for environmental testing using electro-dynamic shakers, thermal chambers, and instrumentation i.e. accelerometers, thermocouples, strain gauges and charge amps.Basic Qualifications:• Experience or background in testing utilizing existing test procedures• Preferred Experience in operation and setup of environmental test facilities including thermal chambers and vibration shaker tables.• Ability to perform SkillBridge for a minimum of 120 days.Preferred qualifications:• *After completion of the SkillBridge, if selected for employment, this position will perform under minimal supervision on 2nd shift, apply semi-advanced skills, and may adapt new procedures, techniques, tools, etc.* • Candidate will rely on moderate experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals and solve moderately complex problems.SkillBridge Eligibility overview:To be eligible for this SkillBridge Fellowship you must meet the following requirements:• Must be eligible to participate in Fellowship per DoD Instruction 1322.29.• Must be projected to receive an honorable discharge from the military.• Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date.• Must receive approval from Unit Commander or O4+ in the chain of command.• Must be located within a commutable distance or willingapproved to relocate to the job location.RTX is An Equal OpportunityAffirmative Action Employer.
