As a PRV lead engineer, you will work with a group of experienced engineers on different disciplines in the Des Plaines office along with other global engineering offices in support and development of engineering documents for worldwide customers.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSupport process technology teams by analyzing pressure relief scenarios and reviewing the PRV relief loads for various equipment configurations and systemsIdentify causes of and scenario details for overpressure eventsEnsure PRV project specifications comply with UOP and industry requirementsProvide answers to customer inquiries, clarifications of UOP practices, and evaluation of deviation requestsMaintain the PRV infrastructure documents and tools, develop relief analysis procedures, and coordinate testing of tool updatesProvide training classes to other UOP employees and to customersProvide technical support to UOP Services on PRV issues in new and operating unitsBusiness travel YOU MUST HAVEBachelor of Science Degree in Engineering10 or more years of applicable industry experience WE VALUEAbility to lead, motivate, develop, and mentor othersChemical Engineering degreeAbility to analyze and solve complex and challenging problemsEffectively operate in a matrix organizationExperience working in global teams across time zonesTrack record of successful contribution to products & projectsExperience with pressure relief devices and systems, and process safety practiceBroad understanding of applicable industry codes and best practicesProcess experience in refinery, oil, gas, and petrochemical industriesEffective presentation skills
