Job Title: Plant Manager Required Prior Experience: All candidates for the Plant Manager position must have prior experience managing a high-volume, quality driven, USPS First Class Mail production facility. RevSpring production facilities can produce up to 5,000,000 pieces of mail per day and we employ over 150 operators. Qualified candidates will have experience successfully managing people, experience with high-speed inkjet printing equipment, and experience with high-speed mail inserting equipment. The Plant Manager will be responsible for all aspects of producing the mail, including the management of employees, vendors, facilities, etc... Candidates without relevant experience should not apply. Job Summary: The Plant Manager is responsible for overall site operations including the production of mail and maintenance of the facility. Responsibilities include oversight of all site functions to ensure orderly and efficient production of customer mail and other printed andor mailed materials. The Plant Manager must maintain strong working relationships with site vendors, customers, and management to ensure quality and timeliness of all site produced materials. Essential Functions: • Hires, trains and manages shift management, ensuring shift is operating at peak efficiency • Prepares short and long-term business plans for areas of direct responsibility, in conjunction with company's goals and growth objectives; assists in updates to strategic plan • On an on-going basis, evaluates the overall plant operations, preparing reports for senior management • Develops and revises standard operating procedures and working practices to ensure compliance with work rules, company values, and regulatory requirements • Quickly addresses any issues impacting the productivity of the workforce, including labor issues, equipment and mechanical issues, and stock issues • Directs all management and operational activities of the company's production areas to ensure the effective and efficient processing of customer work, accurate inventory control, meeting of SLA's, and cost-efficient production • Establishes quality goals for the site; oversees all quality issues, ensuring root cause is identified and appropriate steps are taken to ensure quality issues are not repeated • Assists in developing annual site budget and ensures adherence to budget during the year • Establishes LEAN goals for the site, and ensures employees are using LEAN principles in daily production activities • Fills in if shift management is unavailable • Embrace the Company Values and regularly: • Work collaboratively together • Share accountability for work • Make quality foundational • Operate with integrity and honesty Updated: 04012024 • Maintain customer focus Minimum Requirements: Specific Job Skills: • Manufacturing process; LEAN manufacturing • Attention to detail • Ability to work independently and in a team environment • Excellent interpersonal skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to organize and multi-task job responsibilities effectively • Proven commitment to providing excellent customer service within all dimensions of the job duties on a consistent basis • Ability to learn quickly and retain knowledge to apply to new situations Education: Bachelor's Degree, Process Engineering, Manufacturing or related field Experience: 5-7 years management experience in a mail manufacturing setting Supervision: Site Shift Supervisors Certifications: NA Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
