Job Description:

We deliver engineering and technical assistance to various western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy. Our focus lies in developing and sustaining realistic test and training environments to equip our nation's aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for present and future missions.About the RoleThe Radio Field Technician will manage all installation, maintenance, and equipment upgrades that will support operations in radio, television, NAVAIDS, and weather systems.ResponsibilitiesDesign, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and certification of systems:Equipment for ground-to-air radio communications across UHF, VHF, and HF frequencies.Remote radio control systems managed through wide-area servers.Operations centers and switching equipment for Air Traffic works for P25 Land Mobile Radio, including RF repeaters and portable radios.Server-based Digital Voice recording systems and associated equipment.Digital cable television headend systems, encoders, fiber transmitters and satellite downlink systems.Distribution systems for cable, including fiber optic, RF coaxial, and CAT5e6;6e technologies.Antenna systems and groundingbonding systems for UHF, VHF, and HF frequencies.RequirementsAssociate's degree in engineering or related technical discipline, or formal academic, vocational, or military training7+ years of experienceUnderstanding of radio frequency (RF) principalsISCET certification will be required within 6 months of startingMust qualify for and maintain security clearance and possess a current driver's licenseKnowledge of CISCO communications equipmentThorough understanding of relevant engineering principles and familiarity with associated engineering disciplines.Practical knowledge of testing methodologies and procedures, capable of conducting routine to complex engineering tasks and making minor adjustments to standard test protocols or equipment petence in utilizing fundamental testing prehension of general electronics, electro-mechanical systems, and computer technology.Basic grasp of networking and telecommunications technologies.Strong verbal and written communication abilities.Skillfulness in planning and organizing tasks.Excellent technical proficiency.Willingness to undertake field maintenance responsibilities.Ability to obtain certification in tower climbing and rescue skills.BenefitsMedicalDentalVision Health savings accountFSA401kPTOTuition reimbursementInterview ProcessStep 1: LVSP PrescreenStep 2: Background HR clearanceStep 3: Phone call with the hiring managerStep 4: Onsite interview with hiring teamStep 5: Decision timeJob ID: 757
