Job Description:

Join a talented team at Yonkers Contracting as a Project Engineer with 4-10 years of experience for a $500+ million construction project in the Bronx.Essential Duties· Work with the project team in designing, engineering, and construction· Coordinate and interface with NYSDOT and the MTA· Develop construction means and methods, working drawings, and submittals· Process and track change orders· Coordinate material and equipment deliveries· Process transmittals, submittals, RFI's and change orders· Ensure compliance with all appropriate standards, codes, and specifications· Subcontractor coordination and monitor for contract adherence· Research and resolve engineering and construction problems· Contribute to effective communication between field and project teamEssential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities· 4-10 years of heavy highwaybridge construction experience· B.S. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering preferred· Knowledge of NYSDOT standard specifications· Strong verbal and written communication skills· Prepare clear and concise reports and letters· OSHA 10 andor OSHA 30· Must meet requirements to work in the US (form I9)· Valid driver's licenseSalary Range: $90k -165k - based on experience, education, and trainingPhysical DemandsWorking Conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):· Work in varying weather and temperatures· Sit andor stand for extended periods· Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination needed to use a variety of office equipment such as computer, telephones, calculators, copiers, and drafting equipment· Visual acuity to perform drafting, review plans, and perform other essential functions of the job· Occasionally walk on uneven terrain andor across bridges· May be required to work more than 40 hours a week andor work irregular hours"Yonkers Contracting policies and decisions on employment and promotion are based on merit, qualifications, performance, and business needs.
