LHH is hiring an Industrial Engineering Supervisor specializing in Thermal Management Modules within the automotive industry for a growing global Automotive company in the Royal Oak, MI area. This company offers:Medical, dental, vision401(k) with matchPTOFitness Center ReimbursementTuition ReimbursementResponsibilities:Lead a team of industrial engineers dedicated to thermal management module projects in North America.Oversee the industrial engineering processes related to the design, development, implementation, and optimization of thermal management modules within automotive systems.Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to team members to ensure project success and individual growth.Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to drive continuous improvement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance to conceptualize and develop thermal management modules.Utilize engineering principles and thermal dynamics knowledge to design efficient cooling and heating systems for automotive applications.Conduct feasibility studies and performance analyses to optimize module designs for effectiveness, cost-efficiency, and manufacturability.Develop and implement manufacturing processes to produce thermal management modules, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement through methods such as Lean Six Sigma principles.Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot issues and streamline workflows to maximize efficiency.Plan, schedule, and coordinate project activities to meet deadlines and deliverables.Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project municate effectively with stakeholders including management, engineers, and production personnel to provide regular updates and address concerns.Establish quality control procedures and testing protocols to validate the performance and reliability of thermal management modules.Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to address any quality issues or non-conformities.Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the procurement of high-quality components and materials for module production. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.Previous Supervisory experience (6+ years) in industrial engineering roles within the automotive industry, with a focus on thermal management systems.Proficiency in engineering software and tools for design and analysis (e.g., CAD, CFD, FEA).Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.Excellent project management abilities, including planning, organizing, and coordinating complex projects.Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and automotive industry standards (e.g., TS 16949).Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement and optimization.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.Equal Opportunity EmployerVeteransDisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please visit Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
