Video EditorThe Sage Group's client, a Bay Area based Cloud Content Management company is searching for a Video Editor to join their studio and video production program. We are looking for a skilled video editor with a solid understanding of video production principles and interest in supporting video production where needed. If you have at least 5 years of video editing experience, please apply now!You will:Edit a range of video content, including on-location corporate testimonials & B-roll, in-studio webinars & fireside chats, virtual webinars, and a wide variety of social & multi-media content. Collaborate with various internal teams, receiving creative direction from the Digital Marketing Team Director and Sr Video Production Manager for each project. Maintain an editor calendar that coincides with the video production calendar. Store, maintain, and archive all edited media, making it accessible to additional externalinternal editors. Have working knowledge of Synology NAS device and able to incorporate within the media archival process.Take a narrative approach to editing all content as opposed to a systematic one; Able to craft a unique story within every project that they work on.Always hungry for more - possessing genuine excitement for editing, assisting in the studio, and crafting our client's stories each day. TraitsSkills Needed:Excels with the complete and total use of video editing software and fundamentals. Motion graphics proficiency is preferredProficient using Adobe Creative Cloud SoftwareMaintains expert knowledge of cinematography, lighting, audio, and color grading practicesAble to identify purposeful and meaningful cuts while working with multiple camera source filesAble to grasp a working knowledge of our client's voice within each edit, while also making impactful decisions on their own to elevate the contentExcellent project manager, able to handle multiple projects at once, while achieving project deadlinesUse of Frame.io [frame.io] to send review links to the Sr. Video Production Manager for QC, followed by other internal parties for reviewAble to take opendirect feedback and implement changes as needed to every projectServe as digital media manager on shoot days, uploading and archiving media in between scenes, while collaborating with the script supervisor on identifying usable takesWork with the Sr Video Production Manager on site as needed, assisting with the use of studio and camera equipment as neededFamiliarity with how to operate a productionvideo camera, studio lights, and audio equipment a plusOn large scale projects, the editor will serve as the lead editorpost production coordinator, working with additional contracted editors and managing editing timelines for the production.Location: hybrid remote onsite in Redwood CityDuration: May 1st - January 30th; opportunity to extend andor convertCompensation: $71.50hr
