Job Description:

ATG is looking for an early-career python developer with finance and data science or statistics background to work on cutting-edge systems in Blackstone's hedge fund group. Most of the developers are on-site at the Blackstone offices in New York, working alongside the business users. We would prefer candidates with 1-2 years of work experience, preferably in finance or other corporate environments.The position is through ATG Financial Technologies. ATG provides full-time on-site developers and other technology consultants for Blackstone's Alternative Asset Management (BAAM) division at the Park Avenue headquarters. BAAM has the largest fund-of-hedge-funds program in the world and direct-trading hedge funds as well. ATG has provided consultants to Blackstone for 25 years to help them build their industry-leading customized solutions. BAAM technology provides bespoke software solutions for Hedge Fund investment management and performance analysis.As a programmer and data scientist in finance, you will develop important analysis systems and manage data and reporting using Tableau connected to Snowflake databases with many various data sources. You will be expected to know SQL and python, and some finance. Prior Tableau experience helps. You will be building systems as part of a profit center and facilitating reporting used by the top managers and executives at Blackstone. You will work with them closely to customize the systems and reports.
