Development Manager, Part-TimeOverview: Precious Dreams Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides comfort items and programs that empower children and young adults in foster care and homeless shelters to self-comfort and focus on their dreams. The organization serves nationally through local chapters and ambassadors.Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced development professional that excels in relationship building and thrives on driving the organization's fundraising plans. The Development Manager will develop and manage a portfolio of major gift level donors, be instrumental in creating, implementing and promoting the goals, raise funds and create strong and solid relationships with significant prospects and corporations. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in all aspects of fundraising and non-profit guidelines; is driven to develop new and innovative fundraising opportunities to meet or exceed revenue goals and can lead all fundraising events, work with community partners, and other stakeholders to increase organizational awareness and revenue.This is a hybrid part-time (15 hours per week) position with one day of work in the office for meetings and team building purposes.Primary Responsibilities:Work with the Executive Director and the board of directors, to secure, grow and diversify revenue from individuals, foundations, corporations, and institutions.Handle incoming contributions (processing, follow-up, acknowledgements) and handle financial reconciliations with the accounting team.Build and manage corporate partner relationships through cultivation, solicitation and finalization with a high level of personal support and an understanding of each partner's need and culture.Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities or funding sourcesNurture current donor relationships and cultivate new donors through personal solicitations.Achieve quarterly and annual fundraising goals ($605,000 budgeted in FYE2023).Provide thought leadership on messaging priorities that drive engagement and advocacyOversee the development and fundraising success for the annual fundraiser gala and local or virtual fundraising events.Maintain documents, binders and files including the implementation of a fundraising database, including accurate entry of donor and gift information.Prepare and assist the Executive Director for meetings with prospective donors and supporters. Join or take solo meetings as appropriate.Develop strategies to retain, re-engage and acquire donors through annual giving campaigns.Respond to donor requests promptly and graciously.Draft andor outline marketing materials to support revenue development campaigns (including annual appeal letters, newsletters, donation thank you cardsreceipts, emails, etc.)Assist with partnership needs and requests from Corporate partners and sponsors.Other duties as they come up.Position Requirements:Minimum of five years in a development and fundraising leadership role at a non-profitSuccessful track record of securing major partnerships including large financial giftsExcellent communication skills, including strong listening, written, verbal and presentation skills.Strong technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google workspace, social media, and databaseCRM software.Bachelor's degree preferredSalary commensurate with experienceJob Type: Part-timeĀ
