Job Description:

NDI Engineering Company is seeking a candidate with a degree in electrical or computer engineering or computer science to join our team in Lakehurst NJ and assist with supporting the US Navy.If hired, the candidate will be designing, developing, testing, manufacturing, fielding and sustaining mission ready naval Aviation Support Equipment and Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment that can be safely, effectively, and efficiently operated and maintained by Sailors and Marines.Job Responsibilities: · Install and configure software, hardware and networks· Ensure security and efficiency of IT infrastructure· Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues· Identify system requirements and install upgrades· Maintains, secure and upgrade a web system· Create a backup and safeguard the data· Perform account setup for new and old employees· Track emerging technologies and implement them in the organization· Apply security patching and STIGs of OS's· Familiar with:· VMware environment (vCenter, vSAN, vSphere, etc)· Virtual Machines technology· Containerize software platforms (OpenShift)· Linux server and client software· Microsoft Windows server and client software· Networking practices and protocols· Scripting languages (PowerShell, Shell Scripting)· DOD System Hardening (DISA STIG process)Required Experience: · 2 or more years of experience in IT Infrastructure· Must have a security clearance or be eligible for one at Top Secret (T5).· Prior hands-on experience using, installing, patching, and configuring physical and virtual Windows and Linux operating systems.· Excellent computer skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Windowsâ„¢, Microsoft Officeâ„¢ package· Works well individually or in a group setting· Effectively works well with other employees· Ability to work under pressure and time constraints· ** Familiarity is acceptable assume in-depth skills can be developedenhanced on the job.Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain a DoD Security ClearanceRequired Education: Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Computer), or Computer Science.Certifications: · Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), CISSP, CASP· Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)· CompTIA Security+If certifications need to be acquired opportunity to obtain them will be available on the job NDI Engineering Company is a privately-held small business consulting firm.
