Job Description:

The Senior Structural Designer utilizes experience working with 2D and 3D software such as AutoCAD and Solid Works, to develop all 3D design drawings and Construction Documents for inoLECT's Power Quality line of products. This position requires knowledge of construction safety rules, regulations, standards, and codes related to inoLECT Power Quality projects and designs. In addition, inoLECT Senior Structural Designer has a working knowledge of basic electrical concepts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Produce 3D models and 2D drawings with CAD software following project specificationsDevelop structural designs as defined by inoLECT Professional EngineersCoordinate structural analysis rendered by consultant Professional Civil Engineers with inoLECT structural designs. Help the lead engineer deliver product requirements related to cost, schedule, quantities, and scope and perform conceptual layout work.Expand and manage inoLECT 3D model CAD standards and structural design drawing standards, drawing quality control program, and drawingdesign procedures.Assist engineers with reports, correspondence, and speaking directly with clients and employees.Direct, Train, and Mentor 3d CAD technicians.Coordinate designs and drawing packages with the Senior 2D CAD Operator when relevant. QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with key duties and responsibilities described above is a requirement.Associate degree in Structural Engineering or Computer Aided Design is preferred5-10 years of experience in structural systems design and layout for industrial or large commercial facilitiesProficiency with AutoCAD and 3D modeling software (preferably Solid Works) is requiredExperience creating construction drawing packages for fabrication and construction using industry-standard CD conventions. Experience managing multiple design projects in tandem and employing industry-standard project-management methods for inoLECT projects.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including conversation skills, and normal tact and courtesy.Highly detail-oriented and organized work behaviors are required.Desire to deliver to customers a quality, completed project that meets or exceeds the customer's expectations.Highly proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office Products. Preferred Experience Experience working for a Consulting StructuralCivil Engineering firm.Experience with industrial sites and projects.Experience specifically with SolidWorks 3D modeling software.Experience supervising the work of other designers and CAD drafters.Experience with means and methods for constructing and fabricating structures.
