Most trips are planned and typically 4 - 6 days in duration. Breakdowns may need to be attended to at short notice; sometimes, weekend days are necessary.About the PersonThe ideal candidate for this position:Good aptitude for learning and self-driven to succeed.Enthusiastic and quick-thinking,Can demonstrate a solid ability to troubleshoot technical problems.Technical skills backed with an accredited 2+ year technical qualification are preferred.A thorough knowledge of computers and electro-mechanical disciplines is needed to work on machinery operating in high-volume manufacturing environments.Analytical and inquisitive mindset, you constantly strive to improve and learn about products and their technologies to provide excellent customer service to plant engineers and quality control personnel professionally and helpfully.You will be highly organized and work with great common sense.You must have good communication skills and be comfortable with worldwide travel.Experience traveling andor working in a similar environment is preferred.Willingness to travel:Must hold a valid and unrestricted passport for traveling internationally.Traveling to local, national, and international customer locations is required.Planned and short notice travel dependant on scheduling requirements.Away from home requirement of 50% (up to 75%)Experience:Mechanical knowledge (Preferred)Electrical and Electronic knowledge (Preferred)Programmable logic controllers (Preferred)Field service experienceCustomer facing experienceExperience level:Experience level in similar technical or field service:2 years (minimum)5 years (preferred)Job | Compensation & BenefitsJob Type: Full-timeCompensation: Annual salary, paid bi-weekly$65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year (depending on candidate and experience)Annual bonusBenefits:Company vehicle provided, including fuel and maintenance (for highly qualified candidates only) 401(k)401(k) matchingHealth insuranceDental InsuranceVision insuranceLife insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceRetirement planCompany LaptopCompany PhoneCompany Credit CardSchedule:Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (while in office)Monday to Friday (while traveling) and occasional weekend days (may be required for travel to customer sites to meet customer needs).Work Location: At the Sencon Inc. office or visiting customer facilities in the field.
