Location: Montgomery, AL - HybridSecurity Clearance: Secret & 8570 CertificationThe ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cloud computing and current technology trends, as well as providing secure software defined or physically configured infrastructure solutions designed to support cloud-based Linux and Windows hosted applications. An ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, work well with others, have insatiable thirst of learning new technologies, and excellent communication skills to effectively share your knowledge.Helping the team achieve a high level of performance and quality, holding teams accountable for their work, removing obstacles, and mentoring less experienced team members.Defining the project's schedule and scope while balancing this with timely and regular value deliveries and organizing and leading working and project status meetings.Delivering Agile projects that offer outstanding business value to the users.Advising on best practices addressing Department of Defense cybersecurity requirements and their integration with COTS deployments in various cloud-based PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS configurations.Supporting the product owner in managing communications with stakeholders, managing customer's expectations for deliverables, and implementing an effective project governance system.Delivering top notch technical services that meet or exceed vendor best practices, DoD guidelines, Air Force requirements, and industry standards.Promote team empowerment through team-building techniques, ensuring each team member is making a meaningful contribution and fully engaged in the project.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for designing, building, and supporting a secure cloud platform and Linux-based instances based on industry standards, best practices, and guidelinesDetermine technical standards and specifications and lead the design, build and support of shared services cloud platform componentsProviding professional support services andor the integration of their respective productsImplement the products based on best practices.Review the current architectural landscape and make appropriate recommendationsMust be able to compare various solutions and determine the one that best fits the needDesign, develop, and maintain Linux-based instances and backend applicationsDeploy and maintain web application technologies and middleware solutions on the Linux platformResearch new technologies and products for their applicability to business processesProvide Subject Matter Expertise and advisory services that can include tier 2 support for the platformConfiguration and execution of vulnerability and web application scansPosition RequirementsThis position requires a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in System administration and development experienceAt least four (4) years of experience working with design and implementation of systems and applications at Amazon Web Services (AWS)Experience setting up administrator and service accounts and troubleshootingCreatingupdating and maintaining system documentation, interacting with users, and evaluates vendor products, deep understanding of monitoring AWS instances and servicesAmazon Web Services (AWS) platform capabilities and best practices architectures, and engineering solutions within multiple Cloud accounts and servicesExperience working in AWS via the CLI and management consoleKnowledge and experience architecting and configuring Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs)Strong working knowledge of both the Microsoft Server and Linux Operating SystemsDevelopment and implementation of vulnerability remediation strategiesExperience writing process requirements, technical design documents, and standard operating proceduresExperience collaborating with cross-functional teams with diverse backgroundsDemonstrating strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsUnderstanding of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Well Architected FrameworkProven technical knowledge of network, internet systems, databases, and operating systems including Linux, and Microsoft in AWSWorking knowledge of programming languages, including Perl, Python, and shell scriptingProven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems and related productsProven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general system management best practicesThis position requires an active DoD Security clearance with a minimal of a Tier 3 investigation.Possess a Secret Security Clearance and be eligible for a Top-Secret Security Clearance based on a Tier 5 investigation.Possess a minimum of a DoD 8570 IAT-II level professional certification (Security + CE or other).Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical disciplineAbout the Organization At HumanIT, we are driven by honesty, integrity and hard work.
