Job DescriptionDelta Biofuel is seeking a strong leader and experienced facility operator to take a lead role as Process Operator Shift Supervisor for its ground-breaking bagasse pelletizing facility in Jeanerette, Louisiana. Construction has begun and Delta is seeking immediate involvement of an ideal candidate who can take part in the establishment of policy, procedures, and personnel development for the plant. In addition to being a strong leader, the candidate should be able to show a history of encouraging teamwork, community, and a collaborative atmosphere. Significant experience is also required regarding ability to establish safe operating practices and follow safety guidelines and create a healthy work environment for all employees. ResponsibilitiesOversee a plant operator shift team managing the facilityMaintain clean and safe workplaceWork on a rotating 12-hr shift schedule while remaining focused and punctual (Dupont Schedule)Analyze feedstock, washing, drying, and pelletizing equipment performance to establish areas for improvementsEnsure adherence to rules, procedures, and workplace policiesExamine processes and operating plans procedures to effectively use available resourcesManage all aspects of the operating facility process control and pellet productionWork ExperienceRecommended but not required associates degree in process technology or relevant field10+ years of experience in continuous process operations managementExperience in material handling continuous operationsExperience in pelletizing biomass is a distinct differentiatorExperience in control board operations is of significant valueStrong communication, problem solving and supervisory skills
