Come join us!Responsibilities include (but may not be limited to):Oversee all aspects of HR, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, training and development, performance evaluations, employee relations, and compliance (and assist in payroll and benefit administration)Provide support and strategic direction to business managers and senior leadership using HR metrics to help ensure that the organization's goals are achieved.Develop, monitor, and implement HR strategies, products, and services aligned with the overall business strategy.Develop long-term strategies and key initiatives to promote and foster an engaged workforce, boosting employee morale and increasing retention rates.Establish new and streamline existing HR processes and oversee HR systemsOversee recruitment and be able to scale quickly, when necessary, as the company is growing (inside and potentially outside of NY)Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issuesAssess training needs to formulate, apply, and monitor training programsEnsure compliance with all human resources and employment regulatory requirementsRecommend, develop, and implement best practicesReview, manage, and maintain accurate job descriptions for all positions within the organization.Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual HR reports as needed and present them to senior leadership.Education, Skills, and Qualifications:7+ years of diverse experience in human resources3+ years' experience in a senior HR leadership positionBachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferredPHR andor SHRM certification is a plus but not requiredExperience with manufacturing andor industrial companies preferredBilingual (Spanish & English) a plus, but not requiredProven ability to provide pragmatic, sound, and practical guidance, as well as the ability to take ownership of and deliver solutions for a varied range of HR challengesKnowledge and understanding of all current relevant Federal, state and local labor and employment laws accompanied by the drive to keep up to date and understand future legislation (with the assistance of external resources)Ability to work with and across all levels of the organization, including the capability to diplomatically influence Executive Leadership Team membersClear and strategic thinker with the ability to quickly identify root causes of problems and develop creative and strategic solutionsHigh proficiency level across the Microsoft Office software suiteVery organized and detail-orientedStrong and confident interpersonal skillsSelf-starter with a natural tendency to take initiative, work independently, and effectively prioritize urgent tasksStrong judgment and critical thinking skillsVersatile and willing to contribute to the organization in many waysExperience with manufacturing andor industrial companies preferredAbility to build relationships with a diverse staff and applicant poolAbility and willingness to travel occasionally, with infrequent trips out of state
