As an eLearning Course Developer you will be a key contributor to this training by helping to advance and innovate the on-demand training program which currently includes over 75 courses, certificate programs, and a certification program. We are seeking an experienced and innovative eLearning Course Developer to develop marketing and business skill learning experiences in courses as well as certificate and certification programs. The eLearning Course Developer will convert instructional design materials into engaging and interactive eLearning courses using course authoring software, visualgraphic design tools, and audiovideo production software. As an eLearning Course Developer, you will also collaborate with the instructional designer, SMEs, and other stakeholders to build instructional courses that provide practical application and enhance retention. The eLearning Course Developer will also be proficient in adult learning and instructional design and, when needed, be able to work with SMEs as an instructional designer on the development of effective instructional materials and deliverables throughout the course development process. What You Will Be DoingThe following are the primary responsibilities for this position:Building, redesigning, andor updating SCORM compliant courses using course authoring tools, primarily Articulate Storyline 360, and secondarily Articulate RISEDeveloping new microlearning courses and learning experiences Developing engaging and effective eLearning courses, as well as certificate and certification programsBuilding on our high-quality eLearning using course development and branding guidelines, by taking the initiative to integrate new and innovative ideas to enhance the learning experienceConverting content from eLearning instructional materials into engaging and interactive eLearning courses, with multiple lessons, case studies, activities, knowledge checks, downloadable tools, and assessments, with scripts, closed captioning etc.Creating multimedia, visualgraphic design, and interactive course solutions Demonstrating proficiency in audio production, basic video production, and audiovideo editing for course developmentApplying adult learning theories and instructional design models in eLearning course developmentCollaborating with instructional designer on vision for eLearning coursesBuilding interactive eLearning activities within the courses that provide practical learning application and enhance retention Integrating supporting materialmedia into courses (audio, video, downloadable resources etc.)Creating, implementing, and following editing, testing, quality assurance (QA), and validation procedures prior to course releasesCollaborating with LMS administrator on testing, publishing, and launching of courses and providing support, when neededWorking with subject matter experts as an instructional designer on the development of effective instructional materials and deliverables throughout the course development process, if needed.Building cross-functional partnerships and working with all project stakeholders internally and externallyEvaluating user feedback on an on-going basis and adjusting eLearning course development based on relevant feedbackWriting and maintaining procedures, guidelines, and standards for course development Maintaining well organized project documentation and folders with all course assetsDelivering on-demand channel plans on an annual basisConcurrently working on multiple projects with different timelinesManaging and maintaining timely delivery of course development project schedules and timelinesResearching, evaluating, and utilizing new course development technology and tools to remain innovative and effectiveProviding customer support help as needed for member, registration, course, and LMS inquiriesOther eLearning course development responsibilities as deemed necessary for the business What We Need to See From YouCandidates for this position must have the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 3-5 years of experience developing eLearning courses with a desire to always learn more Excellent command of course authoring tools, Storyline 360 required and RISE a plus, and course development methodologies Demonstrated visualgraphic design skills with experience in applications such as Adobe Photoshop and IllustratorDemonstrated audiovideo development and editing skills with experience in Adobe Premier Pro (or other relevant video editing software) Proven experience converting content into eLearning courses, lessons, case studies, activities, tools, knowledge checks, and assessments, with scripts, closed captioning etc.Possess strong ability to creatively visualize learning content in course developmentStrong experience developing storyboards in Storyline 360, using Articulate Review, and preparing scripts for audio narration and video recordingStrong level of knowledge, work experience, and application of adult learning theories and instructional design models in eLearning coursesSolid experience as an instructional designer working with SMEs and designing content for eLearning Strong experience with learning management systemsProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically PowerPointExcellent communication (written, verbal, interpersonal) and collaboration
