This position will be for our NEW restaurant opening at next to the Astor Place Wegmans. The restaurant will be Astor Place Next Door (opening early 2025 but hiring now)The Sushi Sous Chef is a dynamic and challenging role that requires passion, creativity, and leadership. If you have a love for sushi and Japanese cuisine and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, this could be the perfect role for you.Professional Experience: Proven experience as a Sushi Chef with a solid understanding of sushi preparation, presentation, and serving techniques in an upscale Sushi Restaurant environment.Culinary Skills: Strong culinary skills, with expertise in cutting, slicing, and filleting different types of fish. Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and ingredients.Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a munication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff and customers.Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure the quality and presentation of dishes.
