Job Details:The Project Architect will be responsible for assisting Senior Architects in designing systems for public, commercial, industrial, and residential projects, both new construction and renovation. The role will involve contributing to and performing code reviews, site visits, and attend site meetings. The Project Architect will also be required to advance their professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.Responsibilities:Designing, developing, and refining design concepts and construction documents using AutoCAD or a version of CAD.Assisting with the preparation of design drawings, models, and specifications.Participating in project team meetings and providing input on design decisions and project progress.Collaborating with other team members, such as senior architects, engineers, and sub consultants, to develop project plans and ensure that design goals are met.Conducting site visits and surveys to assess existing conditions and evaluate potential design solutions.Researching building codes, regulations, and zoning requirements to ensure that designs comply with legal and safety standards.Preparing presentations and other visual aids to communicate design concepts to clients and other stakeholders.Assisting with construction administration tasks, such as reviewing shop drawings, responding to requests for information (RFIs) from contractors, and punchlists.Continuously expanding their knowledge of the field through ongoing learning opportunities and professional development activitiesRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field with 5+ years of professional experience.Willingness to acquire the capability to design and develop ArchMEP projects from concept to completion.Knowledge of building codes and standards, including the International Building Code (IBC), local zoning and planning regulations, and relevant state and federal codes such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe.Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple pensation & Benefits:Crane Associates P.C. offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year and benefit packages to support team members and their families beyond the workplace.
